Vocals meet electronics

The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir (EE) is happy to announce the project “Vocals Meet Electronics” in cooperation with IRCAM (FR).
The aim of the project is to get new music for a choir and electronics.
The project involves three young composers who write a piece of music under mentorship of experts; they will work with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir (EPCC) while developing the works, in Tallinn (EE) and at IRCAM in Paris (FR) and perform concerts in Estonia during the Estonian Music Days, and abroad.
The three selected composers are:

Provisional schedule:
January 2018 – announcing the theme and contacting the chosen composers; introducing score requirements, preparatory work
October 2018 – first meeting in Mons (BE) during the EPCC’s concert tour in order to get to know each other
April 2019 – sketches for the choir, sample’s recordings, first workmeeting in Tallinn (EE)
July 2019 – studio-residency at IRCAM in Paris (FR)
October 2019 – studio-residency at IRCAM in Paris (FR)
December 2019 – rehearsals with the choir in Tallinn (EE)
February 2020 – studio-residency at IRCAM in Paris (FR)
Spring 2020 -rehearsals and premieres in Tallinn (EE)
